The Post
An experienced Attendance Improvement Manager is sought to manage and oversee all issues relating to attendance in Years 9-11. Improving attendance rates, reducing student absence and engaging with families to support and ensure they fulfil their legal responsibilities will be the key purpose of this role.
Candidates must have a good standard of education with GCSE Maths/English (or equivalent), be very computer literate and possess at least 2 years’ experience of working with attendance. You will be working with students who have emotional/behavioural/medical difficulties and parents/carers who need support managing their children so you must be a good listener, non-judgemental, realistic, assertive, pro-active and extremely efficient and reliable.
You will be responsible to, and work with, senior management and will also be responsible for the more serious cases that are escalated to you from the Attendance Improvement Manager for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) as appropriate.
This post is 37 hours per week, 08.00-16.00 Monday-Thursday and 08.00-15.30 Friday (to include 30 minutes unpaid lunch break). This is a term time only role + 10 days.
