Thanet Families In Need is an organisation that offers a wide range of support to those most at need in our community. These are families and individuals who have fallen on hard times for whatever reasons. Often these families include the most vulnerable – the elderly and the very young.
Poverty in Thanet has increased over the last years and demand for the services of Thanet Families In Need has risen dramatically recently, particularly with the change in weather.
Sixth Form students will be organising a collection in school of various items for donation to this organisation over the next few weeks. Students will come round to give forms weekly to collect items alternatively donations will also be welcome to be dropped off at any time in the sixth form area, particularly in the morning registration. We will start collecting donations on Friday 18th November. We would like to have all donations by Tuesday 13th December to give us time to organise the delivery of donations.
List of goods desired for donation-

|Tinned fruit/vegetables||All dried/tinned/jarred items|

Last year we collected over 4 packed cars worth of donations. We would love to beat that this year.
