Mid-School Entry: 2025-2026
Should you require an ‘in year’ secondary school place for your child at The Charles Dickens School please complete and return an ‘In Year Casual Admissions Form’ to the School.
If we do not have any places available in the required year group we will add your child to our waiting list and send a letter to confirm that we have done so.
Waiting List
The Charles Dickens School will keep and maintain an up to date waiting list for each year group. The waiting list will be compiled according to the School’s Oversubscription Criteria.
Places will be allocated to students on that waiting list as they become available. The school's Waiting List will be re-ranked, in line with the published oversubscription criteria, every time a child is added.
Unfortunately we cannot give any indication as to how long your child could be on our waiting list or when a place may become available.

Appeals
Parents have a statutory right of appeal, should an application for a place be refused, by writing to Mrs Victoria White, Clerk to the Governors, The Charles Dickens School, Broadstairs Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 2RL. 01843 862 988.
