Open Evening 2017

Posted on: 13/10/2017

Last night the School welcomed prospective students and their families to the annual Open Evening, which showcases the great facilities, teaching and learning and success of current students.

Year 7 and Year 8 students acted as knowledgeable tour guides whilst Year 9 - 11 students were on hand to demonstrate some of the great lessons such as the tricks of physics, the complexity of dissection and the sleuthing of CSI to solve a murder!

Entertainment was provided by the School’s talented music students and displays in the PE department included trampolining and demonstrations of the fitness equipment on offer.

The Executive Headteacher, Ms Cardus, and Head of School, Mr Morgan, spoke about their commitment to raising aspirations and achievement for all students and were supported by the Head Boy and Head Girl, along with two Year 7 students who gave accounts of their transition experience to secondary school.

Mr Morgan said "The School is at a turning point, with the aim of becoming outstanding, and to see such a fantastic group of new students eager to join the School on its amazing journey has been outstanding in itself".

If you were unable to attend the Open Evening the School is opening its doors on Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 October 2017 between 9:00am and 11:00am so please drop in for a tour to see the fantastic facilities and the learning opportunities that could lie ahead for your child.
