Raising Funds for Lupus UKPosted on: 08/08/2017
Year 8 students Shannon Jones and Charlotte Allen have been raising awareness and money for Lupus UK in the Moat Park Big Fun Run in Maidstone.
The girls raised over £100 jogging the course in a fantastic time of around 35 minutes. Lupus UK is a charity close to Shannon’s heart as her sister was sadly diagnosed with Discoid Lupus and SLE at the beginning of 2016.
The School is naturally very proud of their efforts.
Lupus is an incurable immune system illness, probably genetic in origin and mainly suffered by females. It can affect any part of the body. For more information go to www.lupusuk.org.uk
