Life‑saving skills in action! Year 7 pupils took part in CPR training with Community Lifesavers this week. Building confidence for emergencies is such an important life skill. Huge thanks to the brilliant volunteers!

THE TRUST

The Charles Dickens School is a state, co-educational school with a strong reputation and a caring and supportive ethos. We are dedicated to enabling all students to achieve their full potential and we pride ourselves on being a supportive, innovative and inclusive school community.  We joined the small, but highly ambitious, Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) in March 2017 consisting of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) the Lead School; The Charles Dickens School (CDS) and Barton Manor School, a free school which is a 5 form entry 11-18 non-selective school with a joint Sixth Form with BCGS. Barton Manor School is co-sited to BCGS and work on developing its multi-million-pound site has just started with a view to this opening within the next 2 years.  The Trust is committed to excellence in professional development and CDS benefits from outstanding leadership and the sharing of best practice with BCGS.

THE POST

A highly qualified Teacher of Mathematics is required to start at either Easter or September 2020.  This offers an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking department and would suit an enthusiastic candidate who is looking to broaden their expertise and who can deliver excellence in teaching and learning.  This post would also be suitable for an NQT.
