The Post
Governors are seeking to appoint an Mathematics Intervention Tutor to plan, deliver and teach Mathematics intervention lessons to small classes of students who have been identified as underachieving by following a Scheme of Work and assessment programme provided by the Director of Mathematics. The ability to supervise and cover whole Mathematics classes during short term teacher absence and assist in the delivery of the Mathematics curriculum, planning cycle and management and/or preparation of resources will be required.
Candidates should be educated to degree or equivalent level and should be able to apply knowledge and understanding of the subject up to GCSE standard. The ability to work collaboratively, under pressure and with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is vital.
Hours of work are 08.35-3.10pm Mon-Fri with 60 minutes unpaid break (20 mins at break and 40 mins at lunch) or can be negotiated for flexible working.
