This is an exciting time to join The Charles Dickens School as it joined the Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) on 1 March 2017 and is now working iun partnership with Barton Court Grammar School Academy, an outstanding co-educational grammar school in Canterbury. This new venture will see The Charles Dickens students and staff benefit from outstanding leadership and the sharing of best practice. The Post
Governors wish to appoint an experienced Technician to work within the Design & Technology Department. Candidates must be prepared to support the Lead Teacher in delivering curricular and extra curricular Design Technology including preparing and clearing away of materials, tools and equipment for lessons. Ability to prioritise workload is key along with the ability to carry out routine maintenance of the workshop along with repairs to equipment within appropriated regulations and safety practices.
This post offers 37 hours weekly term time only plus 5 days of half term work to be spread across the academic year and mutually agreed in advance.
Weekly hours - 08.00-16.00 Mon-Thu and 08.00-15.30 Fri (to include 30 minutes unpaid lunch break) - 0.8466FTE.
