Today is International Dance Day! The intention is to celebrate dance and bring people together around the world. This term Year 8s are studying “Rock n’ Roll” dance which is a social dance form. The Trust

Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust which was established in 2017.


It currently consists of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years, mixed selective school in the heart of Canterbury, rated “Good” with many outstanding features by Ofsted in February 2020, and The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years mixed non-selective school in Broadstairs rated "Good" by Ofsted in March 2023.  Barton Manor Free School, is an 11–18 years non-selective mixed school in the heart of Canterbury which opened to Year 7 in September 2022 and will grow with an additional year group each year.

The Post

Required as soon as possible an experienced Finance Officer to work across the Trust in a central team is sought for an immediate start pending relevant safeguarding clearance.

Procurement, weekly payment runs, lettings admin, invoicing, bursary applications/payments and gift aid claims are just some of the things included in this role.

The School is looking for a committed and positive individual who is a good communicator able to prioritise and be proactive and ideally has experience of working in education.  The ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines is essential.

This is a term time only post plus 5 x Staff Development Days and 5 additional days across the year to be agreed.
