Lead TA for SEN Interventions - (30hrs p/w - TTO)
The Charles Dickens School is a rapidly-improving, non-selective 11-18 school located in Broadstairs, Kent. We have a vision and a determination to provide our community with an excellent school and we are making great strides towards this. Our results in 2022 identify us as the most improved school in Kent (out of 101 secondary schools) and one of the most improved schools in the country.
A highly qualified Lead TA for SEN Interventions, with at least 2 years' experience of working closely with SEND, is required as soon as possible. This offers an opportunity to work within an enthusiastic, professional and highly experienced SEN department supporting all students with SEND and coordinating all SEN departmental interventions. You would also be delivering in class support programmes that enable all students to access the curriculum as well as supporting the SENCO and Deputy SENCO.
Candidates should be proactive, approachable, positive, reliable and patient. Working independently with minimal supervision is required, along with the ability to relate well to children and communicate diplomatically and tactfully with adults.
Hours of work 8.40am-3.10pm Monday-Friday.
Deadline for applications is Friday 7 July 2023 @ 9.00am. Early applications are encouraged and will be considered before the deadline.
In line with KCSIE 2022 guidance and as part of the shortlisting process, the Trust reserves the right to conduct an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence and any relevant information found concerning a candidate's suitability to work with children will be discussed at interview stage.
