The Charles Dickens School is a rapidly-improving, non-selective 11-18 school located in Broadstairs, Kent. The Charles Dickens School is part of Barton Court Academy Trust, a small, ambitious Trust which also comprises a high achieving grammar school, Barton Court Grammar School and Barton Manor School, a new non-selective school which opened in September 2022.
The Post
We are looking for an Attendance Improvement Manager for KS3 (Y7-8) to manage and oversee all issues relating to attendance in these year groups. Candidates should be able to demonstrate improvement in attendance rates, reducing student absence and engaging with families to support them and ensure they fulfil their legal responsibilities. In addition you will be completing tasks allocated by the Attendance Improvement Manager for KS4 as appropriate.
Previous experience with a knowledge of safeguarding and policies and procedures would be desirable but training will be given.
Candidates should be reliable, motivated, assertive and keen to make a difference.
Hours of work are 37 per week, 8am-4pm Mon-Thu and 8am-3.30pm Fri with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
