CDS Academic Exhibition 2025

Posted on: 18/07/2025

The final event of the year at CDS saw a host of pupils showcasing their outstanding talents at The Academic Exhibition.

The School’s visual artists displayed their art, textiles and photography work in the “CDS Gallery”, alongside the creations of our talented engineering pupils.

Year groups demonstrated their “learning journey” with exhibits of academic work and achievement and gifted and talented pupils presented their journey working with The Brilliant Club.

The performing arts departments wowed the guests with extracts from their hit production, Matilda, and music pupils shone with their mellifluous voices filling the Theatre.

Further in, the STEM Club pupils demonstrated their amazing LEGO robots, built from scratch in school, under the scientific eye of Mr Curtis.

The School’s VI department displayed how they support those with a visual impairment in the CDS community.

Visitors were treated to delicious canapés made by talents pupils throughout the day in the hospitality department.

Particular thanks go to all of the businesses and organisations that have supported the pupils in their showcase awards: Seaward Copyshop, Elev8, Independent Catering, Margate Caves, Shell Grotto, Monkton Nature Reserve, Revolution Skatepark, Sarah Thorne Theatre, Thorley Taverns, Westminster Abbey, London Transport Museum and Palace Cinema. These sponsors generously donate to the School to allow pupils taking part in the Exhibition to be rewarded.

Special thanks go to all of the special guests and visitors, the staff who worked so hard in putting together such an amazing event, and to parents, carers and pupils, without who events like this would not be such a great success.
