Press Release - Year 11 GCSE Results 2025
Posted on: 21/08/2025Year 11 pupils at The Charles Dickens School have again performed extremely well in their GCSE examinations.
Warren Smith, Headteacher said, “We are very proud of our pupils in achieving these results and commend them for their hard work. It is worth remembering that this group were in Year 6 when the country went into lockdown for the first time. They didn’t take SATS and didn’t really enjoy a proper transition to secondary school. They have overcome these initial challenges extremely well, and have contributed a great deal to our culture. We send all of our pupils our very best wishes for their next steps.”
There were a number of exceptional performances.
Amber Caldwell – 8 in English Literature, History, Art and Photography, 7 in English Language, 7-6 in Combined Science, 6 in Maths, and Distinction* in Drama.
Rhea Kum – 9 in History, 8 in English Literature, 8-7 in Combined Science, 7 in English Language and Photography, 6 in Maths and Distinction in Engineering.
Neave Scully – 9 in History and Art, 8 in Sociology, 7 in English Literature and Combined Science, 6 in English Language, 5 in Maths and Distinction in Drama
Shaheed Ali – 8 in English Literature, History and Sociology, 7 in English Language and Combined Science, 6 in Maths, 5 in Spanish and Merit in Drama.
