CDS Initial Teacher Training Team Win at CCCU Mentor Awards

CDS has been working in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) and their PGCE programme over the past two years.  The School’s Initial Teacher Training (ITT) staff have provided an excellent provision to our student teachers, including whole staff and ITT training, PGCE forums and effective mentoring. 

CDS were nominated and won the Team of the Year award at this year’s CCCU Mentor Awards!  To be nominated in this category, schools had to show “A school team that embodies the partnership ethos.  A school where Initial teacher education  is valued across the whole school and mentoring is at the heart of practice.”  CDS staff wholly embody this practice.
