The Disaster Relief Robot & STEM

CDS would like to thank The Rotary Club of Thanet for hosting their STEM Club leader, allowing him to present to the Club the ‘Disaster Relief Robot’ that pupils have designed, and programmed, in their after-school STEM Club.

The Rotary Club has given CDS great overall support for their LEGO robotics programme, and the School is proud of the potential impact it could have on their pupils and their future careers.

The School said that the long term goal is to not just enhance the job opportunities of pupils at CDS, but the whole district of Thanet and it is planning on introducing Thanet’s first LEGO STEM competition to be run between local schools.
