CDS Academic Exhibition 2024
Posted on: 05/07/2024The CDS Academic Exhibition this year was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the vast talents of its pupils. The event saw the School's visual artists and engineers display their creations in the 'CDS Gallery’, whilst musicians, dancers, poets and singers took to the stage in Theatre, wowing guests with excellent performances.
Heads of Year supported pupils demonstrating the ‘learning journey’ of pupils at the School, with exhibits of their work alongside displays from ‘Gifted and Talented’ pupils.
The SEND department displayed how the School supports those in its community with visual impairments.
Special guests and visitors were treated to delicious canapés and sweet treats all made by talented staff and pupils in the Food Technology department.
Special thanks go to Councillor Mike Garner and Carole Martin, Mayor and Mayoress of Broadstairs, for attending and to all of our special guests; Governors, sponsors, parents/carers and pupils.
Particular thanks go to the School's pupil sponsors: Seaward Copyshop, Crab Museum, Dover Transport Museum, Independent Catering, Schoolwear Centre, Margate Caves, Monkton Nature Reserve, Sarah Thorne Theatre, Revolution Skatepark, Pauline Quirke Academy, ELEV8, Shell Grott and Westminster Abbey. These sponsors generously donate to the School to allow pupils taking part in the Exhibition to be rewarded.
