MFL Department Completes Successful Trip to Barcelona
Posted on: 31/03/2026CDS is pleased to share details from the MFL department’s recent annual trip to Barcelona, which took place over its Cultural Capital days, and that weekend, with a group of 30 Year 8 and Year 9 pupils. The group enjoyed four days of sunshine, creating perfect conditions for a programme focused on Spanish language development and the exploration of Barcelona’s worldârenowned art and architecture.
During the visit, pupils attended an interactive exhibition on Catalan culture, gaining valuable insight into the region’s traditions and identity. They also toured Casa Milà, the iconic Antoni Gaudíâdesigned building, where they were able to experience firstâhand the innovative design and artistic legacy that characterise the city.
This trip offered pupils an excellent opportunity to see Spanish used authentically while deepening their understanding of Barcelona’s cultural and artistic heritage. The MFL department extends its thanks to staff and pupils for making the visit such a positive and enriching experience.
